This summer school is just so fun! I am learning so many tips and tricks and things - oh la!
Here is my page. I used two journal cards: I blended the first into the secret door using color burn. the second I blended into the background paper with Darken. You can barely see those threatening teeth but subtle is what i was looking for. Full credits in the gallery.

Realized that I rarely use Journaling cards as is. Here I clipped them to shapes and paint to get a more wordart effect.

All of the words onto the wood paper background are extracted from journal cards:

I think I used 8 different journal cards from this kit to make backgrounds or word bits or little ellies. Fun challenge.

Card enlarged and used as frame - bottom half cut off and used to frame Facebook screenshot. Blue smudges for privacy concerns.

I decided to use four of these journal cards from Rise and Shine by One Little Bird
    [IMG]

The first one is enlarged and blended into the background paper with Luminosity.

The other 3 cards have their elements extracted. Rise and Shine is blended in with Multiply. The other two are used as is after extracting, except of course duplicating and vertically flipping the floral element.

I haven't used journal cards very much so this was fun! I turned two different cards into the background, and used one to make the snippet at the bottom.
