hi everyone! here are the instructions for today's speed scrap. you will have one hour after the chat ends to complete your page and post it in the gallery. please link your page up here in this thread, as well, so that i can send you an awesome participation prize! can't wait to see your page! note: you are allowed one cheat woohoo! just let me know what it is here in your post. 1) create a grid of 4 squares in the center of the page ... maybe 4x4 or whatever size you like. add a picture to the bottom left square. 2) place two background papers - one on top of the other. the top paper should cover the bottom paper except for the right side - please leave a inch or two border there. 3) add patterned or solid paper to the other three squares in the grid. 4) add a paper scallop, lace, or similar to the right side of the page - peaking out from underneath the top background paper. 5) add a title to the bottom right square. use two different alphas/fonts at least (can use more). 6) add some elements to the page - specifically to the top left square and the square with the title. feel free to add elements anywhere else you would like as well. 7) add some journaling - either in a square (you can add an element to help you have room), on the picture, or on the background paper - up to you. that's it! can't wait to see your pages ! i'll be back later this afternoon to post the inspiration page and also PM everyone their participation prize!
Here's mine! I cheated on step 5 (the title) and used word strips instead of fonts/alphas. Thanks for the fun!
Thanks. I didn't realise there was a speed scrap I just happened across the instructions. I rushed to get the page up in time but I am going to go back in and tweak the shadows so perhaps that is a little cheat, but I did stick to all of the instructions otherwise (if you don't count the extra paper layer under the squares).
Not bad considering I lost the first one that was almost done. My cheat was 2 word arts rather than 2 alphas
