Started and stopped this one three times. I think I'm happy with the result. Thank you for the great challenge!

Not a natural style for me so I relied heavily on this template by Just Jaimee.

My art journal pages often include a photo and an inspiration quote or text.

still trying to psych myself up for this one (i know, i know -shouldn't overthink it probably) and have re-read this line many times. i'm definitely not laughing at your page, it's inspiring to see but thanks for the whole paragraph about not pigeon holing styles and stuff, i think that is where i get stuck mentally and i think you're right for me anyway, that we all often scrap a bit beyond traditional but don't tend to notice it

I made this page to commemorate my grandfather who even though he was 92, was in good health up until July. It took us all by surprise, and I'm still having difficulty looking at photos or talking to much about him. He was a very good gardener, hence the theme. "May his memory be a blessing" is the Jewish saying after someone has died. The journal card that says "souvenir" is the French for "to remember" (Even though this isn't my French grandpa!)I thought it tied in nicely.

Art Journaling is NOT my usual style as well. I love looking at other people's layouts- but never like my own! This I feel like is a hybrid- still very layered & shadowed like I like to do But a bit grungy & painterly too (totally a word!) ;)

Wonderful work everyone!! Very inspirational. At times the blank "canvas" can interfere with starting or considering this style. Occasionally I design a smaller LO save as jpeg or png, then insert it on another larger background, just to give it a little space. Still enjoying the process, but not a concerned with whether it "fills the page."

I'm usually not a real busy, messy kind of scrapper, but I loved playing with this style. I just kept adding more flowers, paint, word bits etc until it felt right. It's a big happy collage of all the pretty things in the kit that help tell the story of my girl. Thanks for the challenge.
