When I first found digital scrapbooking, circa 2009, the first pages I created I made my own wordart. They weren't the most refined things, but it was maybe my favorite part to make the page more mine. I relied heavily on song lyrics or quotes to make my wordart titles since I'm not too creative with catchy titles sometimes. Here's my first digi page ever to show where I began! Then my digi world expanded & I found more and more designers that created incredible bits of wordart I could use so I no longer had to make my own all the time. And I took that easy route & still do. I LOVE LOVE LOVE wordart & it's honestly one of the first things I look at in kits, and The Lilypad is FULL of awesome premade word bits! But I still find it fun & a creative process to make my own sometimes. SO that's your challenge this week! No alphas. No premade wordart. Just fonts & typography! Take a bit of inspiration from lyrics if you need to, or quotes your kids say. Take inspiration from advertisements, or movie posters for design ideas. Definitely use more than one font & play with sizes. Just have fun & make your own wordart to scrap a layout! My new page is below : Please follow the Lilypad Gallery Guidelines: Layouts must contain at least 50% TLP products (current or retired product from current designers; templates count as 15%.) Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed.
I really need to learn how to mix fonts!! Everyone makes it looks so easy! My attempt at word art is on the tag.
Thank you!! I had a lot of with this challenge, it wasn't the easiest one to get done, but still a lot of fun!
