Hello everyone !! This is my video using Summer Digital Kit - Storyteller June 2017 Add-on by Just Jaimee. One of the technique I used here is separating my shadow from my elements/paper and then warp it to give it a more realistic look.
If it's new to you I hope you get to try it out and have fun with it.

Thanks for taking the time to create such a great video. After learning how to separate my shadows awhile back, it has become addictive. I love all my lovely little warping tools! :agree

Jump in, Maureen! Once you start playing with shadows, it's soooo hard to stop.

You can separate shadows in PSE, too with a tad bit more work. I believe Fiddle Dee Dee has shared a video on how to do so before, but I know I've seen tutorials in other parts of digi world, too.

in general terms - play with the shadow settings to separate the shadow (distance wise) from the item - use the lasso tool to select the separated shadow, shift-cntrl-J to "cut" to its own layer, and then move that shadow layer back to under the previous layer.

additional method - duplicate the item you are shadowing, bucket fill the layer with a darker shadow color, lower the opacity to be more transparent and shadow like, and use a blending mode... i think linear burn is the one I use most regularly.

while it's not quite as quick as the PS CS option to right click and separate, it is not too many extra steps to be completely unfathomable, in my opinion! :)
    Hope that helps!
