Used a Quick page for the first (or second?) time ever. And I resisted the urge to add to it. I tried to leave off the journalling but I just could not do it. So I kept it at one sentence.
Hi There...Thanks For Hosting This Challenge!... I'm Not Really Good At Using Neutral Background Papers...So I Gave This Style A Try... I Used : Autumn Collection By Dawn Inskip
Here's my style challenge: Vertical layouts AND Filled page. My husband's uncle passed and I thought this was a good challenge (and kit) for this. In memory of... by loridigi posted Oct 18, 2016 at 6:20 PM
I've never considered myself an art journal style scrapper, but I really like how this one turned out. Little Butterfly Wings' Wicked {borders & flairs} made it so easy. I layered a couple of them on Dawn Inskip's Machine Stitched papers, played with blend modes and used a layer mask to show and hide the parts I wanted. Then added a photo and a few ellies and it was done. Thanks for the awesome challenge. I think I'm going to try AJ style again.
ohh this wasn't easy for me!!!!! I love blank space, but what kills me the most in not being able to use tons of elements!!! I kept it almost as the template told me to LOL great challenge Heather!!!
Another one here who likes multi photo and clustered/busy pages. I had to scraplift and REALLY restrain myself for this one! Scraplift of a paper scrapbook page by Janine Langer for Studio Calico https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/129760032993137072/
I do not use more than 3 photos in my layouts (usually I use only 1 photo), so I made a page with lots of pictures... Credits: Doodles -Farmer's Garden- -Family Tree- -Garden Grown- -Monkeying Around- & -Happy Planet- (Kate Hadfield) Paper -Folded Kraft #1/Textured Overlays- (Just Jaimee) Template -A Lot Of Photos Vol.1- (Juliana Kneipp) =)
I NEVER do templates - unless it's required for a challenge, and then I change it as much as I can to make it my own. But I saw this template of Cheryl's in a Digiscrap forum and LOVED it so I asked her to re-release it, and she did, so I had to get it of course. But this challenge made me use it. Thanks for the challenge!
I don't seem to get as many pocket pages as I "plan" to every month. Lacking pictures this month (Rain rain go away) I showcased our designers and the BYOC.
Always good to challenge me outside my comfort zone. This month I've done a pocket page. Maybe the next time there's a similar challenge, I'll attempt an art journaling style (probably my most dreaded)!
