Hello friends! And welcome to yet another month of challenges here at the Lilypad! Can you believe we're already in October? This year has seriously flown by - makes me feel old! I guess it's all in your perspective, right? Well, that's what we're going to talk about today - perspective. It can change the look of your photograph entirely, if you take it from a different perspective! Shooting up from below, shooting down from above. Shooting at ground level. Shooting from behind your subject instead of in front. All of these perspectives will give you a much different look than if you just shot the picture standing normally! In my photo below, I was laid out flat on our patio, as low as I could get, so I was even with Aspen's level - I'm sure if my neighbors could have seen over our fence someone would have called 911 thinking I was passed out drunk! So, your challenge is to take a photograph from a different perspective than just standing normally. Get down on the ground. Shoot up at something. Shoot down at something. Watch the action from behind. Just scrap a photo that changes your perspective from what we would normally expect. If you already have a photo from a different perspective, you can use that too! Please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a guest spot on the Lilypad Creative Team! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). Let's see what you see, when you change your perspective!
I wanted to get his cute little expression, and his shoes - since they were the source of it all - in the same shot - and so we went with looking down on little man from above.
I laid down on our driveway and took these looking up at the goal so that it looked like they were way up high while they slam dunked it (they were actually only about 5' off the ground).
Using Just Jaimee's Sept Challenge Template and Storyteller's collection. Standing right above my "subject"
Fantastic Challenge! I looked straight down at Noah petting this little kitten. I love the way it turned out!
I took this, this morning when I was out walking with the portrait side of the I-phone and pointed it up and photobombed the tree! that was my perspective!
