I am posting the next few months at once, so we can all get these books on hold at our libraries in time. :) The book we will be reading for November 2017 is The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. Please label spoilers or even type them in white like I just did right here (highlight that blank space) so that a person has to highlight it to read it.

I've never really done a book club thing, so I'm going to buy this one & see where this leads :D

I am on the waiting list so it may not be available by month end. But you never know, sometimes they are available sooner.

I actually read this about a year or so ago. I have a bad memory for details in books but I remember being kind of horrified. I will read the posts in this thread and participate when I can.

I know there is a lot of voyeuristic interest in looking at the lives of dysfunctional families...look at the rash of reality shows, Bravo, Shameless etc. these days. If I don't get this book from the library this year, I'll be ok in passing on it.

I got it earlier than expected and just finished it. It was fascinating yet appalling. It's one of my faves so far this year.
