OK, I know some of you are thinking I'm speaking nonsense with that title, LOL, but what is your favorite non-chocolate candy? I seem to love the gummy/sour/chewy types of candy more when it's hot outside... is that weird? And I love me some DOTS. YES, they get in my teeth and drive me nuts... but it's so worth it, LOL!
Oh man- when I was pregnant with my daughter- I craved (and ate!!!) SO much sour candy that my poor tongue was raw! These one's specifically were my go-to! I haven't had any in a long time- but I think I need to get some for this weekend!
Jelly-Bellies are my fave non-chocolate candy. We get the big container from Costco and I put them in an apothecary jar. Guests love the candy we put out (right now there are also Swedish Fish--yuuuuck--Mars brand minis, and Runts (another of my faves).
Starbursts and Skittles used to be my non-chocolate candy of choice. Haven't eaten them for years though.
Another vote for black licorice. I love good Good & Plenty candies... but they have to be fresh soft ones.
Well it used to be Smarties (not the UK ones, but the sweet/sour tarts, kind of like Sweet Tarts), but then I found these at the Asian store: Japanese gummies - I especially like this kind, but all the flavors are good. And for a good candy bar, I love Paydays (caramel and peanuts). And Werther's coffee flavored hard candies....
I love anything sour! I actually prefer sour candy to chocolate most of the time. I also really love Twizzlers
I have way too many favorites because I'm not a huge chocolate fan. Dots remind me of my dad but I can't handle them sticking to my teeth. Airheads Xtremes Sweetly Sour Candy belts are a current favorite. Sour Patch Kids or Watermelons are always a delicious go-to. Haribo peaches are a definite favorite too; I prefer them to peach rings because I like the texture and flavor more. I better stop there because I could go all day haha
I love black licorice too Timmi... I bet you loved Good N Plenty!! That was always my favorite!! I don't eat candy much anymore and if it was I would be going for chocolate, but if it was non chocolate, I would still say Good N Plenty or those Gum Drops.
