As a self proclaimed font junkie I am loving this thread! I really thought I had seen all the best free fonts there were out there but I am completely surprised that I have not seen many of the fonts listed here!
two years ago I used the font Just Gotta Smile http://www.dafont.com/fr/just-gotta-smile.font and last year I used Kingthings Trype http://www.dafont.com/fr/kingthings-trypewriter.font but for this year I don't have chosen.
@bestcee that's so awesome! i have a cute girly handwriting but i have a horrible spelling learning disability so i hardly ever hand write any of my journaling even when i did paper.
If you have Photoshop, there's spell check! I love that feature! It's great with your own font - makes you look like a spelling superstar!
I'm going to check out all the fonts! I do change mine up every year. Last year I used Patient Paige but I was really tired of it by the end of the year. I'm on the hunt for something new for this year!
I've been using Rocky Mountain Beauty from DaFont for my 2016 book as my handwriting. I love it. It's so easy to manipulate and it reads well large or small. http://www.dafont.com/rocky-mountain-beauty.font
@bestcee i didn't know photoshop had spell check! is that in elements too?i've just been copy/paste into office lol
@destiney1 Sadly, no. It's not native to Photoshop Elements. I've heard there's a plugin that offers the feature, but I've never tried any. I used to copy and paste from an online word count site!
I really shouldn't have even read this thread!!! yes, I now have Salvador too... I mix up my fonts throughout the year mainly because it's the only way I can justify keeping so many. When I made my own weekly cards I used Arraabella for the week name ($6 at Creative Market now). Some time ago, I dowloaded a free copy of either Archer or Avenir from one of those sites you should never download from. I'd never do it again, but I use both of them a lot and also plain old Arial and Helvetica. I too am using Remington Noiseless at times (thank you Ali Edwards for that rec). I get the emails from Creative Market with the four free items each week and I have to ask myself...Do you really like this font? or are you just getting it because it's free... I will say I finally did spend the money on Aura Blue and use it now and then for titles, mainly on pages that aren't posted here.
I never even thought about doing all of my pages for a year in the same thought. Cool idea! I'm more of a "fly by the seat of the pants" style of scrapper, even when it comes to weekly pages.
