This month's muse is THE SEA. Welcome to Week 4 Here is the main muse inspiration I want to use this month, drawing various inspirations from it to work on each week. There will be four weekly challenges, starting on Monday, June 5, June 12, June 19 and June 26. I hope you will join me! I found this image on Pinterest and have created a MUSE - THE SEA board where you can find it, along with some other images that speak to me in some way. Feel free to take a look and perhaps create a board for yourself if you use Pinterest. PINTEREST BOARD - MUSE: THE SEA Week 4 Inspiration: Alpha I loved how the artist used different alpha to create the main title for piece above. Week 4: Create a layout about the sea incorporating an alpha word that is NOT the focus of the page. I tend to use a lot wordart and my own typed text (with various fonts) on my pages rather than using alpha characters themselves. Not sure why that is so it was a bit of a challenge for myself as well, to get out my alpha stash and look through them! For this week's challenge I want you use alpha characters/letters to create a title, or a word, somewhere on your layout, the trick being that it needs to be merged into the layout itself. In other words I want you to disguise it in some way so that it is not the focus of the page. I want the alpha to support your page but not take center stage. Ideas for merging alpha into your background can include: * blending it into the background * clipping ephemera or paper to the alpha so that it merges into the background * hide the word behind another element I have been using the same layout for this month and after clipping various ephemera to the alpha I tucked it away so it was partially hidden........ can you find it? As it is the last week I also moved some of my text around and generally tidied it up. If you have been using the same layout this month as well then go ahead and tidy up as well if you want to. I have included a close up of the alpha as well, just in case you couldn't find it!
Fun challenge. I actually have two hidden words but you will have to enlarge greatly to find one of them.
On my ATC, I clipped the wave photo to "Sea" and "Mistress" and blended the words into the wave background.
(I can't even see the alpha at this size, but it's there, "sea" at the bottom of the woman on the right.)
I used the alpha from Sugar Sands for my title "relax" and clipped my photo to it. https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/june-2017-monthly-muse-weeks-4.306340/
Oh this one I need to put my thinking cap on, because I already used a NON-focal for "PR" in my page. I need to figure out what else I can do.
Thanks for a fun challenge! I added the word "peace" this time and the stars and some more stuff around the edges.
I have loved every single one of these. Thank you for the wonderful Monthly Muse! Here are all four together <3.
