Monthly Muse July 2017 - Week 2

    Welcome to the Art Journaling Monthly Muse!

    Muse:
    verb: to reflect deeply on something
    noun: the source of artistic inspiration

    I have really enjoyed seeing what you all have come up with for week 1! Keep them coming if you have them - I have been so inspired this week!!

    For this week I was really drawn to some quotes about BEAUTY. Here is the board I made for us to start form.

    Now I know beauty can be a controversial topic, but I don't want to limit it to feminine beauty, or personal beauty. The theme of beauty can be directed towards anything, life, the earth, the stars, the mind, you name it. We really can find something beautiful to praise in just about anything around us.

    What I like most about beauty is just how different it is for each person. Something I find absolutely GORGEOUS my husband is like "meh . . . " and vice versa! It is so intriguing to me. So show us what beauty means to you!!

    Here is my page. I made it after a conversation with my nine year old daughter about beauty. She is always striving to be "pretty" and I want her to understand that there is more to beauty than just pretty clothes and make-up (which I won't let her wear just yet).

    So lets see how you are inspired with these quotes! And remember, you can choose your own quote as well, as long as it fits in the theme of BEAUTY for this week!

    NOTE:
    Available still are the template set from Scrapping with Liz if you decide to go the "Skinny" route, but of course you don't have to you could make a full page. If you do decide to go for the Skinnies but haven't got the template from last month, you can find the templates available HERE. In addition Christa created one cool triangle template that you could use (Christa's awesome template is HERE).

    Once you are ready to share your page make sure you added to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE and then post it in this thread. To do so, copy the 3rd link on the right hand side of your LO, the one that reads :

    We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month, even more incentives for your inspiration! You can use any products in The Lilypad store, make sure you follow our gallery guidelines.

    I used a quote by Rainer Maria Rilke which translates:

    If I could go back to being my lovely daughter's age, I would tell me "You are perfect and beautiful just the way you are". And of course, she doesn't think she is either.
