Hello! I happy to host this month's random challenge. I hope you are enjoying some scrapping time and ready to create with us this month. For this month's challenge, I want you to pull out your washi tape and use it on a layout! Nice and simple and fun! Here is my layout, featuring some washi tape. I used One Little Bird's The Story Unfolds kit (love the washi in this kit!) and some wooden stars from Paislee Press' Hey There Handsome kit. Have fun documenting your memories this month! Remember our monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the February Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
Thank you for such a great challenge @lcpereyra I love washi tape but I don’t use it often, have to say now I will be! hehe thanks for the friendly prod toward washi again!
Fun challenge... I always love how washi tape can add that final touch to a layout. I created my own washi tape using Style #240 by Mommyish Washi.
I am another one that hardly ever uses washi tape and I really like it on this layout. Must remember washi tape!!!!! I like the tape that is squished up or has wrinkles in it and couldn't find any.
I love this product so much, it is not new, but I love it. You get the SHAPES in PNG format or in CSH for Photoshop and you get the styles to make them look like washi.
I'm not usually a fan of washi tape as it's often too messy for me. But I did like these graphic ones and I even made the plaid one myself by mixing and blending. In the end, I liked the look of using the grouping to ground a journaling strip. Thanks for the challenge.
