    2 - Background: use a flowery pattern paper
    3 - Fasteners: brad and washi tape
    4 - journaling: Journal in a heart shape and add date to a journal card
    5 - Colors: Pick colors that complement your main background paper: tan, teal blue, and navy blue.

    If someone is around, help a pal out. (brain density is at it's peak sigh) I create instructions (using her list) that fits both my LO and her sample one?

    1. Have exactly two photos.
    2. Have a plain bright background.
    3. Use only flowers as fasteners.
    4. Use one line of journaling that makes the main point of your page.
    5. Use an unexpected colour palette.

    This was different & very fun deciding what I wanted to do!!
    1. Odd number of photos
    2. Neutral Background
    3. Use 2 fasteners
    4. Journaling must be full sentences (word art does not count).
    5. Where color is used, let blues predominate.

    Please can I ask that you post these threads earlier? I love taking part but when it's already after 8pm my time on a Saturday I am hanging out in front of the tv with my peeps and I forget about commenting and don't make it in time.

    5. Use all the primary colors at least once

    3. Staples as fasteners
    4. Include a couple sentences of journaling
    5. Select accent colors to match your photo

    This LO came together easily & quickly; I'm usually very slow -- so I hope I understood the instructions!
    1. Photos - used 1 photo
    2. Background - a light background
    3. Fasteners - 1 button
    4. Journaling - 1 sentence of journaling (included title & date on the LO)
    5. Colors - use blue & 1 yellow flower

    What a FUN challenge! I love everyone's different take on the sample layout/instructions!

    Here's my personalized instructions for my layout:

    1. Odd # of photos
    2. White background
    3. At least one button fastener
    4. Journaling on a tag
    5. Colors must include yellow and blue

    • Photo(s) - people
    • Background - frame it
    • Fasteners - 1 button
    • Journaling - journal on a block/tag, include a separate date tag
    • Colors - blue and white with pops of colour

    My Recipe:
    Photos - Duplicate one photo and offset it slightly
    Background - Use a light color of solid or almost solid paper
    Fasteners - Use at least one staple
    Journaling - Include a title, date and up to 70 words of journaling
    Color - Use blue as a feature color including a border for the layout

    Thanks for the challenge! I'm not at all sure if I made this in time for the second deadline, lol. No idea!! But I thought I'd share it anyway.
    Here are my instructions:

    1. 1 Large Photo
    2. No Background, Fill your page with papers and elements
    3. Use at least one fastener
    4. Journal on a text path or warp your text
    5. Use mostly neutral colours
