LMAO!!! Love that!! I love letterboards!! So much better than the word strip magnets for the fridge that I had way back in the day from Barnes! I like that yours isn't felt...won't show the lint and dust!
Oh my gosh we used to have so much fun with those! We kept a running dialogue with those. Everybody who came in added something or started something. I had forgotten all about those.
Exactly! I do have a box of the magnet word strips sitting on top of my fridge. I had forgotten about that!
I got a letterboard for Christmas and I changed it out a couple of times. It's not easy to change it as often as I would like with little fingers "helping" me. But it says this right now (this is the pinned image - mine looks a little different because I received a set of big gold letters too). I'll change it out soon to celebrate the end of the school year/start of summer though.
Do you have the cursive words too @Sunberry2 ? Little fingers would not make it easy! The 8 year old fingers can make it hard and he understands "Don't touch"....(mostly).
I was lucky and found the cursive letter set on clearance at Hobby Lobby so I snapped those up quick! The little fingers are my 3yo DD - she's learning letters, but wants to pick up EVERY letter (especially the ones I lay out on the board) and tell me what it is. Or ask which letter it is for the ones she hasn't quite mastered.
That's awesome! They look cool, but I hadn't decided on them. I love that your little girl is trying to use your letterboard to learn her letters!
We just need to figure out a sentence or two that uses both of these, that would be the BEST letterboard message EVA!!
I'm dying over it this morning. I forgot that I would have young readers over. And that they might decide it would be fun to read. And that they would start telling everyone that a unicorn can stab people with its head.....
I just got mine this year, right after I had a bacterial infection. That's why I chose this quote. It's definitely time to change it out. I think I'm going to look for something Mother's Day related because I think everyone is coming to our house for dinner this weekend to celebrate the moms in our collective families (mine and hubby's).
