Welcome to Day 3 of MOC 6! Today is all about mood boards. What is a mood board and what does it do? Well, a mood board is a tool designers use to get the creative juices flowing for a new project. It helps pull ideas, style, concept and feelings into a cohesive collection. It can be a real tactile collection or, as in our case, a digital arrangement or collage of inspirational images. Creating mood boards can stretch our creativity and provide a starting point when our mojo is feeling depleted. My challenge for you is to create a mood board and then use your mood board as inspiration for a page. You must create the mood board. You can not use a pre-made mood board created by someone else. Your mood board must have at least three images. You can choose to add more if you wish. You can source the images online or take photos of things you find inspiring in your own surroundings. These 3 images should not be the photos, papers and elements that end up on your final page. Some things you can consider adding to your mood board: color palette quote, typography, or lettering patterns textures artwork/illustrations advertising/packaging posters magazine or layout design photographic images fashion/home decor And then you must use your mood board as inspiration to create a page. Here is my mood board: And here is my page inspired by my mood board: Please upload your mood board here in this thread along with your page (all in ONE post). Your mood board image must be no larger than 600 pixels (on its longest side). This thread is the only place the mood board is required to be uploaded. To recap: 1. You must create your own mood board using at least three images 2. You must create a page that is inspired by the images on your mood board 3. You must post your mood board in this thread, along with your page. General Requirements: Your completed page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places: Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site). Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish. Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers).
