This is a photography challenge. You must include at least one photo in your project - please feel free to add more photos to your page, but make sure there is one that follows the requirements as outlined below. You do not need to take a new photo if you have an existing photo that matches the requirements for this challenge. Now, you may be asking- "What does she mean by perfectly imperfect?" When we capture memories, good or bad, there are always what I call the "That would have been perfect if...." photo. The photo is blurry or someone in the photo is moving/blurry. Everyone is perfect except that one random silly kid/person. You took the photo just a tad bit too soon or too late. You may have an elusive teen, and the only photo you have is them on the edge of the focus/happenings. These photos are often "the only one" we captured and deserve a little love. We all have them, and now is the time to use them! Here is an example how Carol - Etc & Polly creative team extraordinaire used this challenge: (FULL CREDITS ARE LISTED WITH THE LAYOUT) Requirements: 1. Use at least 1(one) photo that is perfectly imperfect (see suggestions above). IF the imperfection is not obvious, please explain so that we can see your viewpoint. 2. Photo does not need to be new for the challenge, but your page MUST be new 3. If you do add more than the 1(one) minimum photo required, then the "perfectly imperfect" photo you are using to meet this challenge must have some effect around/under/over/applied to it that sets it apart so we are aware and not guessing which one. Make it obvious. Examples can include: Frames/paints/stitching/etc. Make the photo significantly larger than other photos. Use a different photo edit (again must be obvious). Some sort of obvious effort to make the photo stand out when grouped with others. Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page should be uploaded to the TLP Gallery and not an outside hosting site. Please post your page in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. You should also post your page here in this thread, and people can comment here if they wish. Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store). All MOC pages must be posted in your main MOC page thread by 11:59 pm eastern time on February 2 in order to count!
Hmmm interesting... going to go searching through photo stash!!! Both of the Peregrine Falcon are imperfect.. the top has an overfilm that I can't get rid of so it looks foggy but you can see his head, and the other has a branch in front of his eyes,. I tried to get better photos before he took off but this was the best I could do.
Fab challenge @Danyale Can I just ask, can I edit the photo to improve it a bit - or does it have to be 'as is' Thanks
What a great idea for a challenge. I know I have many imperfect photos that I just can't part with, like when one of my kids was born. Every single photo taken in the hospital was bad, and the only ones I had! We didn't know our camera was dying and wouldn't focus. I may use something else because I'd have to find the negatives and scan them. The others are papers scrappes!
The Chinese symbol and the black title in the center top of the layout were added by me. The other Chinese characters are on the photo itself (not "photoshopped") I think the photo is actually "perfect," but, it was a TOTAL accident and it was not what I was shooting. Had I wanted a picture of just the boat on the river, I'd have been out of luck. It would have been a nightmare trying to photoshop out that writing.
I found this silly picture on my cellphone! So funny! bit blurry, but you can really see the fun they had!
Does the photo have to have been taken by me? I was just sent an amazing photo of my grandfather back in the 30s by a relative that fits this challenge!
