January 19th: List Challenge I love lists. I'm not always the best at documenting, so a list is perfect for me. It can be quick and easy, but effective. This is a list challenge, and the list will be about you. I want you to look back on the past year and think about things you've accomplished. The big accomplishments are easier to remember, but don't forget the smaller everyday things as well. You are all so special and wonderful, and I know that you do a lot for your friends, family, employers, etc. Think about the things that you do/have done, and take a few moments to feel good about those things. Toot your own horn a little. You must include a minimum of five items in your list. You do not have to have it in a bullet-list format, but items listed must be obvious/readable. Feel free to add more to cover all of your accomplishments. You can also use humor if you like (ex: I did not lose the children while shopping in Costco) Or a "freebie" is list how many pages you completed *last* MOC... if you are struggling for ideas. Requirements: 1. On your page will be a list of at least (a minimum) of 5 of your accomplishments over the past year or two. 2. You do not have to have it in a bullet-list format, but items listed must be obvious/readable and not strain my eyes to find them . 3. You can use word art (or word snips) for your list if you wish. 4. This *does not* have to be a photoless page. Feel free to use photos if you wish. Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page should be uploaded to the TLP Gallery and not an outside hosting site. Please post your page in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. You should also post your page here in this thread, and people can comment here if they wish. Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store). All MOC pages must be posted in your main MOC page thread by 11:59 pm eastern time on February 2 in order to count!
I love this challenge, because I feel lists are healing. They make us take stock of things we normally wouldn't take stock of. Of course, as I have pointed out, I am not crazy about journaling, this is an important challenge which will be good for me to do. (Did I just get on a soapbox??? Sorry!!!!)
Aaargh. Why didnt I take my laptop to hospital... maybe a bit to groggy after surgery, but could have helped to focus on something else... this challenge will be a harder one for me
I hope your recovery is going well! I read the challenge when my son woke me up crawling into my bed at 5 a.m. I didn't feel I'd fall back asleep so I opened up the notepad on my phone and typed a list of 10 accomplishments before falling back asleep. If you have a phone or tablet with you, maybe you can do some pre-planning at least.
@scrapsandsass - does it have to be within the last year or two, or can it just be about me in general?
