January 14, Double Layout (Style Challenge) Hi MOC Scrappers! Ready for your challenge today?! MOC has always been a fun scrappy month for me - I learn new things, scrap some of my pictures and sometimes, creatively push myself to create the challenge layouts. We will not be creatively pushing ourselves for this challenge, so take a big deep sigh of relief. Double layouts are hard enough as it is for some people, so I'm going to keep it on the simpler side. So, we are going to make it a simple recipe - double style - easy as 1-2-3. For the Double Layout Challenge, here are your requirements: 1. One title 2. Two or more sentences of journaling. 3. Three or more photos from the same event. 4. Four or more different paper patterns. 5. Five or more different elements - Please use at least 5 different kinds of elements, and then list at least 5 of the elements that you used when posting. This way I can easily count them. (Flowers, Tags, String, Leaves, Staples, etc.). Remember this is a Double Page Layout - you can create it as one page (12 x 24 or 11 x 17) OR two pages (two 12 x 12 or two 8 x 11). Here is what I created, and the products that I used were: Scrap Fever by Pink Reptile Designs Silly by Pink Reptile Designs and Studio Basic Optimistic by Pink Reptile Designs (leaves) Simple Calendar Toppers by Scrapping with Liz Click for larger and to read journaling: 1. One title - (Parents are Silly!) 2. Two or more sentences of journaling. (I think I have 5.) 3. Three or more photos from the same event. (7 Photos) 4. Four or more different paper patterns. (Striped Paper, Speckled BG, Black & White Striped, Red Dot) 5. Five or more different elements - (Beads, Heart, Button, Tape, Leaves) ------ Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page should be uploaded to the TLP Gallery and not an outside hosting site. Please post your page in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. You should also post your page here in this thread, and people can comment here if they wish. Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store). All MOC pages must be posted in your main MOC page thread by 11:59 pm eastern time on February 2 in order to count!
Yay! I stayed up late enough to see the challenge before going to bed! Can't wait to get started in the morning!
Yay! LOL! I'm such a dork that I wanted to make sure if it came across ok! I was so nervous posting! y'know... 1st timer and all! ! Thanks @tkradtke
I have questions! 1. Can they be pocket style pages? 2. Do all the photos have to be from the same event, or just three from the same event, plus others? (if you can't tell, I'm trying to see if I could squeeze a project life spread to fit this challenge )
This is the one I have been dreading. But, I get to sleep on it. Multi-photo is hard, and multi-page even harder, but I have an idea. Just have to see if I can get it together.
@Lynette 1. They CAN be pocket style pages. 2. Project Life will work. You are considering a week as the "event" of your page, and so will I. Here's an example... I would like 3 images connected in some way.... I want the photos to relate to a moment/event. I don't want 3 of your favorite books, BUT it could be meeting three of your favorite authors. Does that make sense?
Perfect job there Jenn! I don't know you well enough to call you dork. And I don't think you are one. Event -- I am not invested in this answer but is 25 days of Christmas an event (one layout planned) but I know I have several more I could do that are one event. Hint to others. There are double page templates or look and scraplift in the gallery It's really not that bad. YOU CAN DO IT!
I was looking forward to the two-pager! I thought I'd make my December summary layout, but since the photos have to be of the same event, good thing I hadn't scrapped Christmas yet! word strips stars journal circles pine branches flower, holly hearts word art (Christmas) brad arrow Oh! I think I could have done my December layout then. Oh well!
I love this challenge! It's how I scrap all my albums, either with a two page template all in one screen in PS or making two separate pages that work together.
1 title (Engine #119) 2 At least 2 sentences (I think I have 12) 3. At least 3 photos of same event (I have 11) 4. 4 patterned paper (red circles, red with writing, blue with design, black and white checkered) 5. 5 or more elements (RR sign, string, button, red signal lights, red/white bar and 2 different frames)
Here is mine ! 5 elements was not easy for me, but I did it ! 1 - date strip 2- button 3- day tag 4- pointer 5- stitches
I have to admit double page layout is not my norm - I do have some events with lots of photos so I got an idea.
1 Title (Party Flavors) 2 (more) lines of journaling 3 (or more) photos from same event - 7 4 (or more) different pattern papers - 4 5 (or more) different elements - (staple, Flag, Flairs, word art (snapshot), veneer half sparkle heart)
