My fellow PSE users, do you share my frustration that we don't have the 'transform' or 'warp' functions and can't easily do the lovely curled photo shadows that we see in so many layouts? I really like that effect. I fell in love with 3littleks gorgeous "This Week Was Awesome" page over the weekend & I was determined to find a way to get the same effect in PSE. I found a tutorial on the Adobe TV website : http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-photoshop-elements-8/curving-photos-for-a-print-look/ It involves a few more steps than in PS, and you have to play with all the settings, but in the end you may end up with something you're happy with, although it won't have the same finesse or sophistication as pages done in PS. Here's how my page turned out: Overall I really like how my page turned out, but I'm not 100% happy with the way the photos are distorted. I need to play more with the distort > shear curve. I'm also going to try playing with the 'wave' distortion & the smudge tool to see if I can improve the shadow. Good luck & have fun!
THANKS Melanie, I don't mind the distortion of the pics because they will distort a bit if they are really bended.
Thank you so much! You're right! I didn't even think about that. Thanks, Dalis! I feel better about it now.
