aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! I got some head bands, but please have any of you grown out your bangs??? I have always had bangs as long as I can remember. Combs, clips and still there is one escapee in my face! what do you do to grow them out!
I did headbands - the thicker ones that helped hold them back. And the growing them out is why I haven't had them again! Such a pain when you are in between! But now you got me thinking about bangs again.....
It really is a painful process! I did the headband thing, too, but nothing seemed to make it less aggravating!
Thanks @AnneofAlamo But getting to this point from the bangs was like My hair grows very slowwwwwwwwly
The last time I had bangs I was in HS and swore I'd never have them again!! I've had the long swept bangs for years now and still use bobby pins almost daily because it drives me batty. I don't know why bangs take so long to grow to a manageable length?? Sure wish they didn't. I know some people swear taking certain vitamins will make hair grow quicker, or deep conditioning with coconut oil, but I've never had any luck
I feel your pain, I can;t stand hair touching my face so I also haven't had a fringe/bangs since high school.
me I too am the side swoop bangs my hair grows quick in the front. I sometimes use those plastic thin tiara head bands to hold them back... Just get yourself a crown / tiara @AnneofAlamo you are royalty to us here as you are I am sure at home and deserve the crown to help out with the bang issue
Get a fun short hairdo and then all of your hair can grow longer together. I cannot really remember that I had a frustrating time when I was done with my bangs. Can you see I have no fear about cutting my hair? It also grows super fast. Plus having curly hair is easier in this I feel. Because compared to straight hair, where everything that's different is very visible, it gets concealed by curls!
It's been 20 years since I had bangs ... I can't remember exactly what I did to grow them out. I think I did several hair cuts with long layers all around my face until they grew completely in. The headbands sounds like a great idea too. Maybe buy a few cute hair pins/clips that you can tuck strays back with - but still look cute? Good luck and stay strong!!!
I have side swept bangs that I'm currently growing out and I use bobby pins. Lots and lots of bobby pins. I feel your pain!
@cfile bhahaha I think a crown maybe a bit over the top with my friends and family, but I like it! lol
Ahhhhhhhh hair....I have a love and hate relationship with mine! I did have bangs when I was younger cus I hated my forehead. Don't remember the growing out process.....sometimes I just want to shave it all off.....
I had bangs for most of my younger years and then grew them out to have a bob with a short back. It took forever but I just side swept the bangs as they were growing out and had to use barrettes and clips to keep it out of my eyes (which drives me nuts). Then I decided I didn't want that haircut anymore so went to a long tapered side swept bang that I can tuck behind my ear and use barettes/clips when I want to.
Bobby pins and hair spray! I rarely if ever use hairspray, so I have a travel size of this really good stuff, that'll help you with the fly away! My hair grows SOOOOO slow it hurts, so yeah, I'd be going insane too. Good luck!!!!
I have had short hair for so long that I can't remember anything else. There is times that I would love to have longer hair but hate the growing out part. I keep joking with my stylist that I am thinking about just shaving it off and going with wigs.
I used these, and tucked them all to the side. Mine are longer but side swept now. I had true bangs all growing up... and when I was growing them out, I had to get used to my self conscious feelings... and my billboard forehead in my mind.
