That's awesome! I have minimal sewing skills and a very very old sewing machine that barely works. But my mom is an expert at sewing and has probably tried printable fabric. It looks awesome!
I rinsed the fabric by hand before cutting out the shapes, and there wasn't any leakage or bleeding at all.
Photofabric branded with logos for Blumenthal Craft and Crafter's Images. It's Cotton Poplin, they do other fabric weights including canvas.
That's cool! I can totally see me using some of my favorite papers printed out and made into art journal covers....going to search for this fabric on Amazon...
Cool thanks Angela! OH and what if I could make some cool Vera Bradley type purses but with WAY better patterned fabrics from TLP!?!?! Oh my mind is spinning now!
Must must say thanks to you again for this idea!! My adopted grands are learning basic sewing concepts but already love the designing & fabric/color part way more. They have dabbled with me in my digi supplies and made a good amount of stuff. It wasn't an all consuming passion... yet. But when I mentioned the template idea to them, they took it and ran. My digi stash is now a digi fabric stash. Templates and shapes are patterns. The Wacom I saved up for for a year but hate is now the sewing machine (doodle stitches, click n drag, etc). Several books on stuff like color theory, museum art and etc have been dragged off my shelf to park beside the desk. I may never get to make another just by me Art Doll again, lol. It's so marvelous...I'm really not teaching anything, I just do something alot in their presence, point out a few starting things and then get up to do something else so they can have my current supplies, lol. Answer questions...that happens alot. Thank goodness for Google. It is so much fun when I don't know (or know how to explain) something cause all 3 of us learn.
