Hi everyone, and welcome back to our regular monthly challenges. This month I have the privilege bringing you the Template Challenge. And we have an amazing template from our very own and very talented Tangie Baxter! You can download the template HERE or by clicking on the image below. Then using the free template, create your own layout. You can scrap it exactly as it is, or you can flip it, rotate it, add or replace, as long as we can tell you used the template as your starting point. ...and here is my page using the template: As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the February Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
You use it pretty much the same way as a regular template. You can clip papers to the rub-on/paint layers or you can use a colour overlay on them to get the right colour to compliment your photo. I used a combination of these for my page. You could even substitute your own rub-on/paint layers for those in the template for a unique look!
FEBRUARY CHALLENGE - TEMPLATE 1. Use template provided by Tangie I loved this template! I chose this photo from the series of photos my daughter took for an assignment last semester for school. This is my son, Matt. I used all b/w papers from the following kits: APennington - I am who I am ForeverJoy - Mamarazzi LBW - broken wings Mommyish - So Basic
Here's what I pulled out of my bag. Which really wasn't what I expected but man I had so much fun with this. I could have spent another hour just playing with the little banners. And the shadows, I'm getting stupid playing with shadows.
Holy Moley, I LOVED this template!! I loved the pre-added grunge and bright colours, and had fun adding my own as well!
