Phew! Are you all breathing a sigh of relief after the scrapping whirlwind that was January? Maybe feeling a little sadness that MOC is over? Well, I have to say that I am happy to return to a slower pace, but I will miss the daily prompts! Each year, when I look back over the MOC challenges, a handful of them stand out to me. Maybe I'm not happy with how my page turned out for a challenge, or maybe there is a new style or technique that I want to incorporate into my regular scrapping. Whatever the reason, there are always a couple challenges I would like to try again. So for this month's random challenge, lets do just that! Here's the challenge: Choose any one of the MOC challenges and have another go, or do a challenge you weren't able to complete, or if you didn't participate in MOC this year then just choose one that inspires you. You can find all 31 of the challenges HERE Please note the day/title of the MOC challenge you chose when you post here in the challenge thread. I chose Jan's challenge from January 6, the dispersion technique. I loved learning a new technique but didn't have time to play with it as much as I would have liked. Here's my second take on the challenge. Hope you have fun revisiting the MOC challenges. Can't wait to see what you create! As always please follow the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the February Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day (the 1st Friday of the month). Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
I’ll definitey be re-doing the RECIPE challenge. Clean minimal pages are tricky for a gal who loves clustering and stacking a quizzillion elements Yay I feel like I might have got this less is more stuff sorted Thanks for the push to try this style again @ashleywb .
FEB. CHALLENGES - Random "Choose any one of the MOC challenges and have another go, or do a challenge you weren't able to complete, or if you didn't participate in MOC this year then just choose one that inspires you." I chose to redo my 1-8-18 BINGO challenge - I really didn't like my layout so I redid it - using the same photo. Original layout: Credits for the redo: Mommyish - So Basic 1 solid background - CORK 1 big photo Wood arrow Doily 4 flowers Added extra: stitch, staple and duplicated flower cluster
I decided to do Day 4: Change Your View. When I did this for MOC, I felt that the perspective got lost in the mask I used.
Sorry @ashleywb ! I might have went overboard! HAHA! I revisited 4! January 25 : Art Doll (Style Challenge) host: MrsPeel, January 27 - Combine SIX Designers (Random) host: dailydwelling, January 29 - Creativity with Alphas (Random) host: EHStudios, & January 30 - All In A Row - Technique host: Lena Gardner WHEW!
I chose Jan 7 - lots (20) of photos. Had a lot of busy photos of granddaughter's reception so this allowed me to use several of them to give the "flavor" of the reception.
