Digital Pin Exchange - Summer 2018 Edition!

    A few months ago Mommyish (Leah) released the Enamel Pin Builder and started a Pin Exchange.... which made a lot of us very happy and very addited to creating PINS! She also released an add-on with additional styles for your pins called Glittery Enamel Pin Styles. I will be the first one to say that I can't have enough of them! I can't WAIT to see all the pins from the exchange! AND.... I CAN'T wait to do this all over again this month! I sent Leah a private message to volunteer myself to run this challenge because I NEED to HAVE MORE PINS! This time we are going to follow a very loose theme.... drum roll please........ the theme is JUNE, JULY AUGUST, Summer (which ever is your station), Vacations, etc... (Or anything you do during June, July, August )!

    **** I added a new video on how I use the style/actions at the end of this post. It has some cute scarecrow pins!

    Just in case you have no clue about what product I am talking about that revolutionized our pin making skills, here it is:

    How do I even make a pin?!
    • Install the Enamel Pin Builder Styles & actions
    • Watch the video tutorials for your program - if you are still unsure - hit me up here and I will be happy to help you out. :) . @angiekey created the following step by step instructions for those that like written instructions better. HERE (I have posted the written instructions in the second post of this thread)
    • Have an idea! If you aren't sure look up "enamel pin" on pinterest and you flooded with ideas.
    • Get creative. <3 Use shapes, your brush tool, text, etc! Use other styles to create other interesting effects.
    Remember, since this is an item that will be shared with others - if you use outside graphics they have to be CU ok.

    Some of you asked me to make a video on how I USE the styles and actions, here it is!


    How do I save my pin for other folks?!
    • You will want to create a new document that is 300ppi in RGB format with a transparent background.
    • Keep in mind that pins shouldn't be GIGANTIC - ideally you will want your pin to be smaller than 2 inches. (600 pixels)
    • When you save your pin be sure to save it as a .PNG file (this maintains the transparent background)
    • Save the file as username_tlp-xchange_pinname.png for example I'd save mine as mommyish_tlp-xchange_rainbow.png
    • UPLOAD HERE

    I uploaded a bunch of pins I had already made but never shared. I'll try to make some more about summer.

    Up way too late waiting on the distant college girl's medical diagnosis at the ER- it sucks having them so far away when there are problems. Things don't seem to be as bad as they could be as they are loading her up with more meds and sending her back to her apartment. I'm going to instruct her to pester the specialist office loudly tomorrow since they've given her an appointment a month away for a followup to hear her test results. I shouldn't have to send her to the ER to get pain meds in the middle of the night. :groan:hummm
    Anyway, I did get these pins done while I was sitting on the couch waiting to hear what was going on :waiting

    You are very welcome !! If you have some different colors that you would like me to make for you just let me know. I would be more than happy to make them for you. Kayaking, hiking and beach combing are my favorite things to do.

    seriously? i was just thinking i might ask you but didn't want to be too forward. i would love an orange and a green kayak. the blue is perfect. (here's some pages with the kayaks) :)

    @spenny They are not just OK, they are more perfect than I could imagine! I love how you shaded them/varied the colors - they match our kayaks perfectly. They will be much loved and much used! :) :bk

    I'm out of practice! :( And I tried some watercolor art instead of line art - not sure I'm thrilled with these. I'll make some more ... and hopefully I can get my groove back. (My hard drive crashed a few weeks ago and I lost a lot of my styles and all of my style organization that I had done. My Time Machine backup was not working properly and I had no idea! So I'm back to basics again. )

    Me too, these are CU found watercolor pretties, not mine. The rims came out ICK, LOL! I gotta stick to the outline icon art! :P

    Sorry that happened - it is a pain, and especially if you thought it was backed up but it wasn't :( Hope you can get things recovered somehow. Laura was super sweet and reset the 6 months of links for purchases I lost back in January for me.
    I had done all sorts of organizing right before it happened too.

    I think the pins look fine. Definitely a more hand-drawn feel to them. ;)

    Hi ladies, I have been quiet. One of our dogs, Annie, got attacked and we are taking care of her. It requires around the clock care.
