I would love to know if there is something that we could replicate it with. I need to figure out where I stashed my dad's old Dover art books after the move and see if there are any guilloche-type patterns in one of them....
Let me try first, I don't have all of her styles and I lost most of them when I lost my EHD, but I have a few that are meant to be used for other stuff but that go "clear" when you run them to show the color underneath. Give me a couple of days at least. I have a Polly assignment I need to finish first.
I did find some of my dad's old Dover books, and there was one book that had background patterns - a few of which are similar to some of the guilloche patterns I saw. If you find a style or two you want to try them out with, let me know. I will have to keep looking for the rest of his books, as I know I have another box of them somewhere.
Here's some that I've made for the month! There's a few more ideas running through my head, I might be able to get a couple more done before the end of the month.
Not quite happy with my rims but I'm making more of this by myself now. Used wiki clipart as guide for scales (jury duty bleh) and studied examples of boat & angel suncatchers. Hopefully I will get to where I draw my own cliparts from scratch...maybe then my rims will improve. Wheee! Still working on my 29 faces for a challenge from last month, lol.
