What does everyone do when they take photos in the hopes of using them in a current challenge and they don't turn out how you had hoped because you got lost in the moment and the photos quickly turned into an afterthought? I cannot be the only one right?
Turn the pic B&W and mask it to make it artsy. Just take the layout in a different direction. B&W cures a multitude of photo sins.
I thought about turning them black and white, but I just decided to make a couple pocket pages and call it a day LOL! We were just having a good time with a little science experiment
I will not allow myself to feel guilty about it either! We had so much fun!! It took longer for the S'more to cook than we had expected but they all loved the outcome. WHOO HOO!!
Believe it or not, it took 23 minutes in 108 degree temps! I was really shocked the marshmallow didn't get gooey sooner! I don't know if the plastic I used slowed things down, or if the marshmallows we used had anything to do with it?
I picked up the Kraft Jet-Puffed S'moremallows; they're the huge square ones that cover an entire square of graham cracker. I did use store brand foil though, so maybe that played a part as well?
Next time, add a magnifying glass. My kids used one in 70 degree warmth to heat their marshmallows. You can also start a fire with the glass and some very small kindling. Yeah, they tried that one too.
Maybe it was the size? Hmmmm.... I'm going to use regular size, but maybe I'll grab some mini's as well! 107 on Friday, and 110 on Saturday - so we'll try one of those days! (don't ask me why 105 feels like it might take longer.....
going back to your original Q, Timmi - yes, i do the photog thing all the time and will often leave it on (one of) my camera(s) and forget about it till the next month... and then it goes in the 'i''ll scrap it one day' folder
Ohhhh!!! That's a good idea!! I wonder how I could get one to say in the box without having to hold it??? Hmmmm...may have to consult the hubby for that one. I want to try it again, using saran wrap and just the regular sized marshmallows to see what happens. And then try Bev's idea and see if we can figure out a way to get a magnifying glass to stay in place without having to hold it. You'll have to tell us how it went and make some pages!! I'm excited to how yours turns out! I'm so crossing my fingers it won't get that hot again until next year LOL!! GAH!! I have a feeling my get it scrapped one day will happen years from now LOL!!
