Blending Mode or Style??

    @bestcee yes, the photo of the face. I thought it might be a blending mode but no idea beyond that.

    OK, just rough play, and I created this with my profile photo.
    I went to Filter - adjustment. First I choose Posterize and 12 layers. Then I choose Threshold. The lower the number, the more disappears.
    I tried again, and turned it to Black and white first, then used a lower posterize, it turned out better the second time. Play with the numbers.

    Tried a few things but the mojo was not flowing and didn’t like any of the layouts I started - tried about 4 or 5 scraplifts and nothing was flowing.

    @littlekiwi, @bestcee - thanks for the example and the question. I like the look very much and although I have PS CS2 which is different (can't follow the instructions given, I have been playing around with this technique which is really cool. Hopefully someone can post a link to a tutorial.
