ok. After I posted, the book got way faster paced. I really liked it. So, I started and finished Book 2 in the same day. The second book was so much faster paced than the first. Loved the characters! I'm curious, like @Karen, what the third will be about. I know it's not going to be a happily ever after type... so maybe he has a family member that comes to "haunt" them.
Yes I finished part 2 today as well! These books are great. I like that in the audiobook version, book 2 was told by several people. Made the difference, of in who's head you are, easier. I did think the storyline of book 2 a bit less realistic though...
I just ordered book one and two from Kindle Unlimited. I can't wait to start reading tomorrow! They're already downloaded on my Kindle.
Yeah... I thought that too, but didn't really care for once as it kept me interested and reading fast!
So finished this yesterday. I was surprised at how sucked in I became and how engrossed I was in the story. I really felt bad for her being the victim of so much hate! Spoiler in white: My question is now that she's truly a victim in the eyes of the law enforcement will she NOW get witness protection? I'm guessing book 2 flies by too quickly for all that, but I would hope so!
You have a very good point. I can't answer your question though... it'll be answered in book 2... and then we should discuss this point...
My answer is in white: I'm not sure that it would work for her for either book. When you are in the program, you are actually providing information and testifying against the defendant. In this case, she doesn't do that, for the first book. In the second, (in case you haven't read... I'll make a new post...) As for the online bullies and haters, I don't think they provide security from that at all for anyone. Just report, and hope they investigate. Or, take your security in your own hands. End.
In the second book... (in white) He ends up dead. So, at that point, I don't think witness protection would work for her. Hoping I did that right!
Back with you all but have been reading a lot over the winter so far. This on was put on hold and I'm #1 so it should be soon.
I read & finished this book on my flights to & from Creativation this past week, and it was great! My first instinct about one person specifically was very correct, but I was completely sideswiped by some others. I thought it was great! I've got the second book in my queue at the library, but I am #31 on the list with only 10 copies...so it might be a little while before I get it. That's okay for me though - I prefer to borrow from the library vs. purchasing, so I don't mind being patient! It's like getting a present when you get the phone call (WISH they would make the move to email or texts) that your book is ready for pick-up!
Really? Your library is still phone? I haven't had a phone one in years! It's all email. That's cool in a nostalgic way.
It's kind-of annoying. Lol! I can do everything via the website in regards to my library account...but for the life of me, I cannot find a way to get notifications via anything but a phone call. I have SEARCHED that dang website top to bottom, clicking on every possible link....nothing.
I'm a little behind, but I got this book from Amazon and I'm about half way through it. SO intriguing.
