Such beautiful pages. I didn't know Melissa but she was amazingly talented! I pinned a lot of these pages so I can go back and scrap lift them. Thank you for posting them.

So how did she do the cut out Mickey's? I see the reference to what supplies she used but how do you do the effect? Does anyone know the style settings? So cool. Should I start another thread with that question. I don't want to "hijack" this one at all.

Sure I can try help explain how she did this. There is a few different ways you can do this, but I'll try and give one way.

First place your items on your canvas that you want to mimic, like the stars. Lay them in the spot, then hold Control and click that "layer" (that you want to mimic). You'll see marching ants go around your object. Then click on the paper or layer you want to erase from and just hit the delete button OR use your erase tool and erase over the stars. Then hit Ctrl + D (to deselect) and VIOLA!!!!

    Hope this helps!

I am so sad to hear about Melissa passing away. She was an real inspiration to me. I wish here family strenght in this very difficult time!

I scrapped the following page because I was most of all inspired by being surrounded by your loved ones, while they are with us.

And this was the page I got my inspiration from:

I chose this one because I really liked the tilted title card with that cute bow, and it inspired me to scrap a food page!

    And here is mine.

Melissa was extremely talented. Looking back over her gallery, it hurts my heart to know I'll never see a new layout from her. However, I know that I'll see her again in Heaven and I'm happy to know that she's not suffering. She was a kind and wonderful friend to all who knew her. I'll miss her so much!

Since I'm currently in a PL phase of my 10 year digi-scrapping adventure, I chose a PL style layout. I'm now a hybrid app/PSE scrapper and this worked for me. Here's the layout I chose:

Thank you for having this challenge as a part of your anniversary challenge. I'm sure Melissa would feel very honored by this. I wasn't able to participate much during this weekend, but I wanted to make sure I did this in our friend's memory.

Happy Anniversary, Krista & Britt! You're both the best!

RIP, Melissa. You are loved and missed.

I never knew Melissa but it is plain to see that she loved and was loved. I have favorited so many and will be scraplifting more from her beautiful work. Thank you for creating this challenge.

I hadn't realized she had passed - how awful. I learned so much from looking at her pages when I was just starting; she had such a talent blending kits and using colors that I always strived to emulate.

    I lifted this layout:

And here's my take on it:
