Journaling:
You may never move mountains,
or write a novel, or learn a new language,
but the little things you do every day add up
to big things. So don’t get discouraged with
the laundry, dishes or cooking...for each of
these small acts have lead up to a great and
fulfilling life of serving others. One of your
co-workers at school said to you “You are too
kind”. I was shocked! Everything I had been
taught by my family and faith had always
told me to be kind to others. Even a small act
of kindness, even if it doesn’t seem to be a
big deal to you, can sometimes mean the
world to the other person. So keep up your
small and sometimes meaningless acts. They
will make a big difference later on. I am
reminded of a poem that was quoted by our
last President of the church, President
Thomas S. Monson....
“I have wept in the night

For the shortness of sight

That to somebody’s need made me blind;

But I never have yet

Felt a tinge of regret

For being a little too kind.”

So when you feel like a little tiny fish caught
in the great big ocean....Just keep swimming!
