One of many future pages about an extremely meaningful 2015 wedding anniversary gift from my husband. The Union Jack flag has since been mounted behind museum glass and is proudly displayed in my living room (yes...I'm an American but a complete Anglophile...lol). Thanks for looking at my page and Lynn's awesome products!

JOURNALING:
This inlaid box is an amazing anniversary gift from my husband a few years ago. Not only is it a work of art, which he crafted himself over the course of several months (in my favorite motif...a Union Jack), the wood is salvaged from the kids’ playground set, which they put together with him when they were little but eventually outgrew.

He also sourced a huge, hand-stitched antique Union Jack flag that originally flew over a government building in Canada. Let’s just say he paid a lot for it (closer to $1,000 than not). The flag has since been moved behind museum glass, but I still treasure my box!

      WOW! He definitely sounds like a Keeper! What a thoughtful gift! The work on the box is exquisite and that he used the old playground set ... WOW! And to top it off with the flag, I know you were thrilled! Great capture of such a sweet memory. This will be a layout to treasure for years! Beautifully done!

      @jazzmatazz Thanks so very much, Tracy. I’m pretty fond of him...haha. We’ll have been together 32 years this autumn, and it’s still not enough time. :heartlub I’m planning on doing more layouts on the box since you can’t see all of it in these pics. I really appreciate your feedback!!
