“This is about a mini cruise, Portsmouth to Bilbao, that we took back in 2010. For the book to be printed, I picked one of the photos I liked the most to make an introductory page.”
“There are many ready-made creative stitching digital scrapbooking kits. The possibilities are endless, and no special techniques are needed. To create the look I love–which is to cluster and layer–the layered elements can often look too full and messy. Then I use my digital eraser tool to remove part of the stitching and make a cleaner or more realistic look.I love using full-page photos, and I also love using lots of elements. In this case, I love the photo and didn’t want to cover it too much as it would take away the light and feeling of the photo. To that end, I added stitching in blues at three corners of the page: a combination of clouds and foliage.”

      @SharLamb thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!! I have learned a lot with Get It Scrapped, I was a paid member for quiet a while before I was invited into their Team...so now instead of not liking 90% of my pages, I don't like 60% of them LOL no seriously, I think we are our worse critic, iI keep not being happy with what I make but thanks to the community being so supportive, the events here where we learn, Get It Scrapped and the inspiration of other scrappeers, I learned to not be so harsh on myself :) which brings me to how delighted I am to see you here more often, I know your name and pages, and love what you do, so, really really glad to see you more often at The Pad!!!       I hear ya! And it is so easy to compare ourselves to others. Jana Oliveira has helped me a lot in that department...encouraging her students to do their own thing—find their own style/s, not try to be someone else. My “problem” is I like so many styles, from crisp clean graphic to steampunk to grungy to impressionistic artsy! Sometimes it’s hard to just pick one! LOL! Thanks for the nice welcome. I’ve been enjoying this active community and the wonderful challenges. I felt at home right away!
