Or scrapbooking in general!
I’ve been doing Project Life since April 2011, and I love finding fonts that work well for titles, journaling, cutting out words with my Silhouette digital cutter, and captioning photos. Let’s take a look at a few of my favorites!
TITLE fonts
Here are some of my favorite fonts for TITLES for Project Life or any scrapbook page.
Here are the links to find these awesome title fonts.
Here I used Pacifico to journal right on my photo.
Here I used Pacifico for the days of the week titles.
Here I used Mari & David as the title for this 4×6 journaling.
Here I used Ostrich Sans for the title of the orange “Super Todd III” journal card.
JOURNALING fonts
Here are some of my favorite fonts for journaling.
Here are the links to find the journaling fonts.
Strangelove (not free) http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/facetype/strangelove/
I used Arial Narrow in this 4×6 card with lots of journaling.
Here I used Typewriter Scribbled for the journaling on the right hand side.
I used Rockwell here for the body of the text.
The Blackout font is super fun for cutting out sayings.
I also like to use Pacifico to cut out titles.
Impact Label (http://www.fontspace.com/tension-type/impact-label) looks like Dymo tape!
Stamp (http://www.dafont.com/stamp.font) looks like a date roller stamp! So fun!
I hope you’ve found some font inspiration for your next Project Life page, scrapbook page, or craft project! :D

Thank you so much for this list. Love a lot of these fonts. How do you print on the journalling cards? Are these digi templates too or do you print on them?
Christine N says
Hi Vera,
I print straight onto existing journal cards (non-digi) and I journal on digi cards and print them out.
I did a video tutorial on my blog on how to print onto Project Life journal cards.
You can see it here: http://www.listgirl.com/2012/01/tutorial-printing-onto-project-life.html

What a great post! I was wondering if you have any tricks for picking which font to use. I usually type out my journaling then one by one go through the various fonts. It is kind of time consuming. I haven’t figured out how to use a font manager (I’m on a PC). Do you think a font manager would help? Do you know where I can find clear directions on using a font manager? Any other tips for choosing a font? Thanks so much!

Super post Christine! I totally love your examples on the fonts and how you’ve used them in your album. Thanks girl!

Roni – I do have font manager for my PC, but I don’t usually use it, LOL. In Photoshop or PSE, I have it set so that when you choose the type tool, the font dropdown box on top shows samples of what the font looks like. I seem to have go-to fonts that I use over and over again too. I found a roundup of font management tools here that you might want to check out: http://www.dafont.com/soft.php
