We are in full swing over in the forums and the store with DSD celebrations all weekend long! There are some amazing new products that you will want (need!) to pick up in the store by all the designers, new projects by the Pollys and there is also a Polly Team Call! You can find the details for that HERE in the forum. For this hybrid girl, I am a little overwhelmed with it all! BUT I am hosting a challenge and I want YOU to participate!!
Of course, you know I want you to do hybrid or at least try it! It’s not hard and doesn’t have to be complicated at all! I am challenging you to make a card, that’s it! But the other part is you have to print it out and upload it to the gallery. Cards are SO easy to try hybrid if you never have and you don’t have to print a lot at all. You can just print a journal card and put it on on a card front, add a greeting (or not) and call it done! You can read all the nitty gritty about the challenge and the prize HERE in the forum.
So, let’s see some cards! I have two new one’s for you. The first one is using Amber Labau’s Brave New World Kit. Perfect for all those baby showers or friends that need some congratulating on the new little one!
I used the print and cut feature on my Silhouette to cut the all of the elements, except the butterflies. Those are a Martha Stewart punch that is one of my favorites. Add a little twine and foam adhesive, and you have an adorable card to give. To give you an idea of the size, the card base is 5 inches by 5 inches. One of my favorite sizes to make.
I am loving that bottle cut out! And labels are perfect to print and just hand cut for sentiments! I actually added the “baby” part at the last minute.
Next up is a card from one of the new releases for the weekend from Pink Reptile Designs-It’s Not Just Black And White. I used the paper, elements and journal card kits for this card. You could easily pick and choose what you want to use!
Card sized at 4.25 inches by 5.50 inches for size reference! I just used a couple of the pattern papers to layer, then attached a journal card in the center. You can easily do that and have a cute “anything goes” card. I am a sucker for foam adhesive and decided to add the smaller zebra from the element kit, since I already had him printed out and sitting by my area!
So get over to the forum and participate in this challenge!!! I am so excited to see all your projects in the gallery and to leave a little Polly love on them! Have a GREAT DSD weekend!
