Sometimes we don’t think about documenting things that we are going thru and then we think of it after the fact. That’s what happened when our dog Ella was diagnosed with mouth cancer. We were too “in shock” and trying to figure out what to do, etc to think about documenting things. We did do a professional photo shoot about a month later, but that was on the only thing I though about doing. But we got our act together and now I am trying to remember to document every vet visit with a selfie!
We usually take these before Dr. B gets in the room, while we are waiting. I wish I had started this when we first started going for her monthly visits, but I didn’t think about it. Here’s the one from Tuesday.
We usually post on Facebook and Instagram letting everyone know how the checkup went also. She has a small fan club of our dog friends! But these are great moments to scrap and ones that you might not think of doing. Braces, some type of lesson, growing a plant, etc. If you happen to think of starting at the beginning, you could have an entire album, mini book, etc. of memories!
And if you forget, just take one as soon as you can! Above, I forgot until we left the vet and went to the farmers market! So, I made it up! LOL I am also trying to make sure to keep my phone handy for other moments that happen around the house that I don’t want to miss. Here Jetson was taking care of her, she was restless and settled down as soon as he laid down next to her.
It doesn’t matter if the picture isn’t perfect, the house is a mess, the lighting is wrong, or even if it’s a “sad” moment. You will look back on them at a later date and be glad that you documented. them.
