Hey y’all! Polly here, I hope y’all are recovering from the craziness that was iNSD last weekend. What a fun weekend for everyone. My dear Bart had a little too much fun, thanks to all y’all, so he’s in the dog house right now. I thought I’d take a few minutes and answer a couple of the questions that I go during iNSD.
From Amanda: “I have a question Dear Polly! How mad DO mosquitoes GET in a mannequin factory?”
Well of course they get blazin’ mad. Wouldn’t you if there was nothing to eat?
This one is from Kristina “How do you make the determination of what you’ll buy…? How do you set those priorities, when the TLP designers keep flooding our store with so much goodness?!”
Well first off, I live by the rule that if it catches my eye and I love it, I get it…Even if it is something that I may not be able to use right away. I tend to buy more girly kits and such, so those always jump out to me first. When there’s a big sale, though, I like to buy more basics. I like to stock up on things that I know I will use again and again, or things that I can use in multiple ways. I like to pick up some commercial use tools, as I use them often on my personal pages. Just like all y’all, I also have the designers here at TLP who fit more my style, and I often look to them first.
Finally, Cath asked about Font Managers
It’s been a while since I used a font manager. Years ago, I used to use Font Xplorer with PS to temporarily install fonts that I wanted to use on a page. After a while, I found that I was using the same fonts all the time, so I installed them and got rid of the other fonts and the font manager. When I saw your question, I did a little exploring online, and I came across FontBase. It has a some great reviews, a nice looking interface, and seems easy to use. I am planning on downloading it and giving it a shot.
Well that’s about it for me this month! Keep askin’ your questions, and keep your lips off my Bart!
