Hey y’all! Polly back at it again with another Dear Polly segment. This is my favorite time of year, as we move from Winter into Spring, and I am lovin’ seeing everbody’s awesome layouts showin’ off the season. This month I’m fixin’ to follow up on some questions from the last few months, so let’s get started.
So a while back I was surfing through the forums, and I found this thread from DeniseB817 asking how to put text inside of a shape. It jumped out at me right away because when I first started scrappin’ that was one thing that I had to search to learn about. I could try and explain to y’all how to do it, but there are two great resources in the thread. One is a video of how to do it in Photoshop, and the other is a step-by-step from Polly Courtney about how to do it in PSE. You can catch up on that thread HERE.
Secondly, I wanted to bring up an old trick that I use on a lot of my layouts. A while back, there was some discussion about how to make fonts and paint look realistic on the page. It started with a post right here on the TLP blog, which you can find HERE. Even better, if you look through the original thread HERE, Christa made a style that can be used to achieve the effect in both Photoshop and PSE.
So I guess this month I’m not fixin’ to answer any specific questions, but address some general questions that I hear about a lot. I hope this will give you a help on your pages!
