Hey y’all! I’m back for another month. Sorry this January post is a lil bit late…I was fixin’ to post it last week, but that just wasn’t in the cards. This month I’ll be answering some questions from the forum. Now that y’all are done with MOC, you can sit back and read along with me.
First off is a question from the sweet Brandi: “Dear sweet Miss @Dear Polly, what is your favorite thing about being the “Dear Abby of Digiland”?
Well that’s easy! It’s y’all! I love it here at The Pad, and I love that there are people who are willing to listen to my advice (I love love love telling other people what to do, just ask Bart!) and want to share ideas with each other. I can’t imagine any other home for me, and I love talkin’ with all the great folks here at The Pad.
Next, we have a question from Courtney: “Dear Polly, Is this the year you finish MOC?”
Sadly, no. I always give it my best shot, but it just hasn’t worked out for me yet. More power to all y’all who have gotten all of the MOC challenges done in time! You rock!
This question comes from Lori: “Dear Polly, Do you ‘old-school scrap’? If so, what is your favourite thing to create?”
I used to ‘old-school scrap.’ I love the feeling of the papers and the glue, and I enjoyed putting a page together. After a while though, it really started to take up a lot of space at my lily pad. Then I started gettin’ sick of the mess that would be around after I worked. That’s when I gave it up and started working all digital. I still have a few hobbies that I do to help keep me creative and something in my hands like journaling and crochet.
Our final question comes from Kellie: “What is the best way to shadow pieces on your pages and are there any special secret programs out there people are using instead of photoshop?”
It’s so funny you ask Kellie. I actually covered shadows and filters on a Dear Polly post a while back, you can check it out HERE.
So that about does it for this month! Hope y’all have a great February!
