Happy New Year, Scrappers!Polly Liana here to introduce you to the first BYOC of 2015! For those of you new to our community, BYOC stands for Build Your Own Collab. Have you ever fantasized about building a dream team collaboration between your favorite designers? Well at the Lilypad, we've give you that opportunity every month! Yes, on the first Friday of each month, the Lilypad releases our BYOC, which is a collection of products that are all designed around the same palette. That way, you can pick and choose whichever products suit your fancy and they will all coordinate beautifully. Genius, right?Speaking of beauty, the palette this month is nothing short of amazing. It's one of the most dramatic palettes we've ever had and a deviation from our usual wide arrays of colors. The main palette this month is built on monochrome tones which reflect a stark winter environment. … [Read more...]

Simply Hybrid: Pocket Scrapping
Hi all, Sarah here with another Simply Hybrid post. I've been working on a 6"x8" album for my daughter for her 13th year and I thought it would be fun to show a few different ways that I create my pocket scrapping layouts.I love the bright colors in Just Jaimee's Storyteller 2015: Hunter Collection and thought that the kit would work well with my photos. For this first page I kept it as simple as possible. I printed the two photos at 3"x4" and chose one of Jaimee's journal cards in the 4"x6" size. Without embellishments I had a ton of space to journal which was really nice since I had a lot to say.For this next page I added some embellishments that I printed from Jaimee's collection including a couple of labels from her Storyteller 2015: Mega Tag and Label Pack. I had to edit my journaling a bit to get it to all fit on the label but this allowed me to have some space to … [Read more...]

December Planner Album
Hi everyone, Sarah here! So excited to share another December album project with you. I started thinking about things that I would like to have in a planner and came up with a few ideas. Color and texture are a must. I want my planner to make me feel happy when I open it. I need multiple sections. I love to keep lists, talk about what happened in my day, and even occasionally plan for something (this is actually the least important aspect of this planner for me, I want it for the day to day tracking more than anything). Then it dawned on me, the biggest reasons that I need a planner are for my to do lists and for recording info for memory keeping. So why not use the same album for both. I'm sure in ten years I'll love looking back on my daily tasks in addition to the normal day to day activities that I normally record in my scrapbooking. As I thought more about what I wanted out … [Read more...]
