Every two weeks we ask one of our staff members to choose their favorite products in the shop. Then we put those products on sale! Our latest Polly Picks sale includes products chosen by the lovely Melanie:Melanie is one of our newest Pollys at The Lilypad. If you are a Memory Pockets Monthly subscriber, you are probably very familiar with her, as she provides monthly tutorials and inspiration in our exclusive MPM forum. Melanie is a fantastic layout and pocket page artist and has so much enthusiasm for scrapbooking and The Lilypad. When I look through her gallery, I notice the focus is on her photos. She is a girl after my own heart - she loves black and white and often uses white backgrounds with colorful elements to accent her photos. We asked Melanie to describe her style, and this is what she had to say:"I am relatively new to digital scrapbooking, and … [Read more...]
2015 Journal: Using Digital Kits and Journal Cards
In December I blogged about my December Planner Album. I fell in love with the format and decided that I would create albums like this to document 2015 instead of the pocket scrapping albums I've been doing over the past few years. At the end of December I started working on my January pages. I created and printed about two weeks worth of planner pages, hoping to incorporate my to do lists, notes, memories and pictures on each page. My plan was to complete each page at the end of the day or early the next morning depending on my schedule for the day and then add photos to the blank pages at the end of each week. Unfortunately it didn't take long for this system to fall apart. Unlike my December album where I could do Christmas themed pages everyday and it worked out no matter what. I found that in January this didn't work that well and sometimes I wanted to use themes that weren't … [Read more...]

Felt Fortune Cookie Valentines
Greetings, Happy Scrappers!Eek! Many of us will probably be celebrating Valentine's Day tomorrow. If you're trying to think of a quick and creative way to express your affection for those you love, I've got a simple craft project that requires minimal materials and it's really easy to complete. Today, we're making felt fortune cookie Valentines. Here's how:You'll need pieces of felt in pink and red shades, thin craft wire, thin ribbon (it looks great if you match the color of the felt but I had white lying around so that's what I used), scissors, craft glue and something with which to make the little paper messages.First, you will make a bunch of circles that are about 4.5 inches in diameter. I found a bowl that matched that diameter so I just put it down on my felt and cut around it.Next, cut a piece of wire that's about 4 inches long and a piece of ribbon a bit … [Read more...]
What’re Parameters in An Investigation Report
A felon is definitely an individual that is officially charged to get a crime, which might range to strike from scam, and sentenced to incarceration to get a period of 12 months or maybe more. (the meaning of prison--just about jail-time specifically--may differ from one legislation to a different.) On conclusion of the expression, some convicts choose to start life afresh and do understand their error, however, it is notas easy as it looks, particularly for somebody with a criminal record. … [Read more...]
Valentine Lunchbox
Valentine LunchboxToday we are going into another heart overload with a valentine lunchbox. My kids love that I take the extra time to include messages in their lunchboxes from time to time. When holidays like Valentine's Day come around, I tend to go over the top and include all sorts of fun surprises. This heart crazed lunchbox adventure started with a set of heart shaped cookie cutters I recently purchased, and Pinterest of course!Earlier this week I started small. I snuck in a little heart here and there, like the tiny heart cut out of the corner of the bread. Each day, they have opened their lunch to find a little valentine lunchbox surprise. We are nuts about cheese in our family, so the heart cheese with crackers were a hit!The apple sauce got a little makeover with an adorable tag attached to it. There is a personal message written on the back. While the kids … [Read more...]

Birthday Party Decor
Super Easy Super Hero Birthday Party DecorHello pad peeps! Today I want to share with you some super easy to create birthday party decor. So simple in fact that my 9 year old son was able to help create some of the birthday party decor. I'll start by saying that my son is kind of obsessed with legos, especially Lego Marvel, but really anything lego makes him a happy camper. With that in mind, it didn't take long to decide to host his birthday party at a lego play place near where we live. Now we had the location picked out and that was easy, figuring out a date is always an adventure in itself. I knew I wanted to customize the party decor, since there aren't a lot of options out there specifically for lego hero party themes. I was delighted to stumble upon Super Duper from Kate Hadfield. You might recall seeing some super hero party decor during May's episode of the Hybrid Variety … [Read more...]
Valentines Created from Journal Cards
Hi all, Sarah here. Greeting cards are one of my favorite hybrid projects to create. I thought I'd share with you today a few Valentines that I created using a pack journal cards. The only tools I needed were my computer, printer, and a paper trimmer (though I do know that some people are able to cut straight lines perfectly with scissors, I am not one of them). The only supplies I needed were paper (I use Neenah Bright White cardstock for most projects) and adhesive.I decided on Candy Hearts: Filler Cards by Quirky Heart. I love the variety of cards Michelle has included and I knew I'd be able to get quite a few Valentines out of this one pack. For this first set of Valentines I printed the cards on cardstock and trimmed to size. These will be fun to scribble a little note on the back of to tuck into a pocket or lunchbox. This next set of cards I created by placing … [Read more...]
